My Mission

To Support Children Fighting Cancer and Duchenne’s Muscular Dystrophy

I am a Long Distance Motorcycle Rider (LDR), participating in the 2026 Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge™, an event that for the 2026 year will span 11,000 miles, and is the most grueling motorcycle challenge ever ridden in North America. The Challenge navigates across North American continent on a dictated route comprised of backroads, state and local highways using only written line by line directions, without the use of electronic navigation. Additionally, the participants cannot sleeping indoors, nor gain assistance from outside support; the participants must be completely self-sufficient, just rider and machine. To learn more about the Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge™ please click the link above or visit www.hokaheychallenge.com.

I am riding to raise support and awareness of Childhood Cancer and Duchenne’s Muscular Dystrophy; connecting with people and raising support to help children and their family’s live their best life. I consider my suffering in this awesome challenge incomparable to anything these children go through. For my suffering is elective; and theirs is not! I ride in honor of my son Christian, a cancer survivor, you can learn his story in this page below. I am fundraising for “Candlelighters for Children with Cancer” and “Mile Monsters Inc.” two organizations that provided hope for children and their family’s, whom are dealing with pediatric disease. Candlelighter’s helped bring my son and family through one of the darkest of times any family could ever encounter; and they continue to bring life into other families that are just like mine. To learn more about Candlelighters go to www.candlelightersoregon.org. Please consider donating to this great organization at www.charity.pledgeit.org/seanrideshokahey, or click the link below.

I am a member of Mile Monsters Inc., and have personally invested in and witnessed the support, joy and necessary assistance this fantastic organization brings to children and their families whom are stricken with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD); a form of Muscular Dystrophy that primarily affects young boys, and is 100% fatal. We directly support these boys, whom we call “Hero’s”, providing wheelchairs, accessible vans, residential upgrades, funding for medical treatments, and any assistance they need; but without the red tap bureaucracy so many organizations impose. Christian’s Story

On Easter Sunday 2014, with his fifth birthday just days away, our son Christian’s life changed forever. A day that started with fatigue, nausea, and a grey pallor, ended in the hospital with a terrifying diagnosis: Lymphoblastic Leukemia. For the next six years, Randall Children’s Hospital would become his second home. But through the pain and confusion, there was always love—and hope. Alongside us stood “Candlelighters for Children with Cancer”, an organization that became a lifeline in our personal storm. From care packages to events and family outings, they reminded Christian that he was still a kid allowed to laugh, dream, and feel seen, and reminded our whole family we were not alone.

After six difficult years, Christian was declared in full remission. He is 17 now and thriving, keeping up with his high school studies, socializing, excelling in baseball, dreaming big about the future, and driving around in his truck looking for a little independence in employment. Christian’s story is one of hope, courage, and a community that surrounded us in support and love. Candlelighters was there when Christian and our family needed them most. This is why I am doing all that I can to pay it forward; so that other families battling pediatric cancer can benefit from all the services Candlelighters has to offer. I ask you to join in support of this fantastic organization. Please click the link above or here and donate today.

The Fed Logo. My road name is “Fed”. I was affectionately named “The Fed” by my fellow Mile Monster Inc. long distance riders, although I am not affiliated with law enforcement. Evidently, they felt that I look like a cop, with strong build, proclivity to keeping trimmed facial hair, and a tight haircut. Once my MC buddy’s got wind of the nickname, laughter ensued and it quickly became a moniker that I could not escape from. So I decided to embrace it. It is now my sticker logo, adorning conspicuous places throughout the Nation.
